本書邀請你走出自我去朝聖，在主內安憩。沿着鐵路探訪十座聖堂——細看聖言、祭台與聖像，閱讀、欣賞、祈禱，好能更深地活出禮儀。This guide invites you to step out of yourself on pilgrimage and rest in the Lord. Along the railway line, visit ten churches — look at the Word, the altar and the sacred images; read, contemplate and pray, that you may live the liturgy more deeply.

香港開教一百八十五年185 years of the Church in Hong Kong

感謝天主，謝謝前輩們的耕耘Thanks be to God, and to those who went before

「若非上主興工建屋，建築的人必徒然勞苦。」（詠 127:1）“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.” (Ps 127:1)

  1. 1841

    天主教會傳入香港，設立宗座監牧區。The Catholic Church came to Hong Kong; the Apostolic Prefecture of Hong Kong was established.

  2. 1874

    升格為香港宗座代牧區。Raised to the Apostolic Vicariate of Hong Kong.

  3. 1946

    升格為香港教區。Raised to the Diocese of Hong Kong.

  4. 2026

    香港開教一百八十五週年紀念。The 185th anniversary of the Church in Hong Kong.

這些聖堂的建築和設計，有賴天主教香港教區建築及發展委員會全人，以及眾多專業人士的努力和奉獻。感謝天主賜給我們祈禱之所。彼此代禱。The building and design of these churches owe much to the whole Diocesan Committee on Church Building and Development, and to the dedication of many professionals. Thanks be to God, who has given us these houses of prayer. Let us pray for one another.
